Dr. Greg L. LaVecchia, DMD, PC

Dr. Greg LaVecchia was born and raised in Northern Virginia. He attended Paul VI High School in Fairfax and then, in 1995, he completed his undergraduate degree at Georgetown University. While at Georgetown, Dr. LaVecchia worked in the Department of Pathology, researching possible treatment modalities for cervical cancer.
Dr. LaVecchia graduated from Temple University School of Dentistry (in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania). While at Temple, he was given an opportunity to learn advanced surgical and endodontic (root canal) procedures. This knowledge, coupled with his devotion to continuing dental education and training, has allowed Dr. LaVecchia to expand the treatment offerings at his and his father’s practice. Dr. Greg LaVecchia provides comprehensive dental care with a special focus on cosmetics, headache prevention, and surgical procedures.
Professional organizations of which Dr. LaVecchia is a member include the American Dental Association (ADA), the Virginia Dental Society (VDA), and the Northern Virginia Dental Society.
Dr. LaVecchia has resided in Arlington since 2002.
Dr. Louis J. LaVecchia, DDS

Dr. Louis LaVecchia was born in the Bronx in New York. After attending Fairfield University, Dr. LaVecchia made the decision to pursue dentistry – a choice that greatly affected his own future, as well as the future of his son, Greg. Dr. Louis LaVecchia is a 1968 graduate of the Georgetown University School of Dentistry, where he was awarded the John P. Burke Memorial Award for excellence in the area of restorative dentistry.
After completing a tour of duty in the Vietnam War, Dr. LaVecchia returned to Northern Virginia in 1971 to open his private dental practice. At that time he was also offered an appointment to the full-time faculty at Georgetown University in the Department of Operative Dentistry, where he served from 1970 to 1990. Many of the dentists in the area will say that they learned everything they know from Dr. Louis LaVecchia.
His many honors include election as a Fellow of the American College of Dentists and the Academy of General Dentistry, and election to Omicron Kappa Upsilon (the National Dental Honor Fraternity). Dr. LaVecchia is a member of the American Dental Association (ADA), the Academy of Operative Dentistry, and the District of Columbia Dental Society.
Dr. LaVecchia has lived in Northern Virginia with his wife and family for almost 40 years. In addition to his son, Dr. Greg LaVecchia, he has two daughters and five grandchildren who occupy most of his free time.
